FAQS
Essential information you may like to know is laid out below. Please contact us if there’s something else you would like to know.

Who Are We?
We are a small family owned and operated business who love showcasing our local producers.

What Is Barberra?
Barberra is a modern yet casual dining restaurant.  We have a large open kitchen, if you would like to be part of the action you can request the Kitchen Pass table when you book.

Food and Beverages
We have curated our menus based on fresh, seasonal ingredients and the flavours and influences of both local suppliers and the Pacific Rim. Both our food and beverage menus feature a large number of plants and flowers from our Harewood and roof-top gardens.  We believe in a root and stalk philosophy, reusing as much of the plant as possible. Our proteins are all free range and line caught where possible. You will see a large range of our dishes are gluten free, keto friendly, and easily adaptable to make vegetarian or vegan. You will find a sample menu on our website, however this is subject to change as our menu changes regularly.

Tables
We have a mixture of bar height and low tables, when you book with us you are booking a seat, we have a limited number of seats in each area, so we can’t always guarantee which area it will be in- it you have a preference please let us know when you book and we will do our very best to accomodate.

How Long Should We Expect To Dine?
This varies from table to table, for a good three course dinner we suggest allowing 1.5hours. For our Just Feed Me menu we recommend allowing 2 hours. However as we are a casual dining spot, you can also pop in for a wine and snack or just dessert.

What Is The Kitchen Pass?
This  means you are dining as close to the kitchen as possible, you can watch everything happening, and directly engage with the kitchen. You will be seated on bar height  chairs are directly in front of where we cook and create your dishes. Please note for this area guests are seated alongside one another. This is especially important for groups of 4+ guests to note in terms of holding conversation. If you are coming as a social group to have a long overdue catch-up, we suggest you don’t request this table and dine at our other tables allowing conversation between you.

Do We Have To Book?
If there is a specific area you wish to dine in or a time you wish to dine at we highly recommend it. We can book out on any given service. Walk-ins are always welcome to pop in and wait for a table if we are full, or dine at the bar.

Do You Allow BYO?
No, we have a seasonally changing beverages list with monthly features to compliment our food. We do not offer corkage.
